Overview
Food security and its relationship to sustainable development are issues of increasing global concern. This multidisciplinary course explores interrelationships between food, population, the environment, and socio-economic development through a case study/discussion approach.

Enhancing Student Interaction and Learning
This seminar is highly interactive and its success depends on active student participation, by sharing experiences and perspectives on the discussion board and in class. Platforms to enhance student learning and interaction include:
- Participation in class and web-based discussion
- Written reflections on assigned readings and case studies
- Active engagement in the international student group, and participation in preparation of project assignment.
